Marion junior varsity girls win home tournament
Marion junior varsity girls won their home tournament last week, snagging a pair of close victories to take the championship plaque.
The Warriors beat Hillsboro 22-20, and followed it with a 24-23 win over Remington.
Marion created a balance with two players scoring at least eight points each game, and all six players got on the scoring sheet in the tournament.
Carley Wilhelm and McKinnon Waner each tallied 10 points in one of the games, while Callie Burkholder was the team’s leading scorer for the tournament with 16 points.
