Police report

Marion police provided the following report. Officers also conducted vehicle maintenance and follow-up investigations, provided vehicle identification number inspections, worked on reports, attended meetings, made traffic stops,

Oct. 3: A domestic dispute was investigated. A warning was issued for criminal trespassing. Assistance with a case was provided to a sheriff’s deputy. A dog complaint was checked. Response was given to an injury accident.

Oct. 4: School zones were patrolled. A stranded juvenile received assistance in contacting their parents. Harassment was reported.

Oct. 5: School zones were patrolled.

Oct. 6: Officers assisted with “Walk Your Kid to School Day.” School zones were patrolled. Debris was removed from a street. A citizen met with an officer regarding a civil matter. A welfare check was provided.

Oct. 7: School zones were patrolled. Officers met with the county attorney regarding cases. A firearms training was conducted. Officers met with parents in reference to a problem with a child. A concerned citizen met with an officer. An individual met with an officer regarding an eviction notice.

Oct. 8: School zones were patrolled. An unlocked business door was discovered. An officer responded to OASIS for a child out of control. A complaint was filed of a dog running at-large.

Oct. 9: An arrest warrant was served. A non-injury accident was investigated. Trespassing was reported.

Oct. 10: A parking complaint was checked.

Oct. 11: School zones were patrolled. An officer met with a concerned citizen regarding a vicious dog. Emergency medical services personnel received assistance with a call.

Oct. 12: School zones were patrolled. An officer met with a concerned business owner. A walk-through was provided at Marion High School. Assistance was provided to Florence police department with an investigation. A domestic dispute was reported.

Oct. 13: School zones were patrolled. An arrest warrant was served. Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services received assistance with home visits. A welfare check was provided. Officers responded to a barking dog. Officers attended court hearings.

Thursday: School zones were patrolled. Officers responded to several complaints of a raccoon. A vehicle was reported possibly stolen. Assistance was provided at a house fire. Response was given to a dog running at-large.

Friday: Officers responded to a cow on Roosevelt Street and a dog complaint. EMS received assistance with a call. A grass fire was reported. An officer met with a concerned citizen.

Saturday: Officers responded to a dog complaint. Possible child abuse was investigated. A noise complaint was reported. Response was given to a complaint of fireworks being discharged.

Officers issued 19 warnings and made two arrests.
