Police report

Marion police reported the following activities in addition to working on reports, follow-up investigations, traffic stops, vehicle maintenance, vehicle identification number inspections, and patrolling school zones.

Nov. 15 – Response was given to a suicidal individual and a domestic dispute that resulted in an arrest. Officers conducted a transport and served an arrest warrant.

Nov. 16 – Officers attended court hearings and response was given to OASIS. An arrest was made and response was given to an out-of-control child. A suspicious vehicle and a parking complaint were checked. A follow-up was conducted on a door-to-door salesman.

Nov. 17 – Officers responded to a runaway and met with a concerned citizen. A theft report was taken.

Nov. 18 – A walk-through was conducted at OASIS. A bicycle was found and a suspicious vehicle was checked. Officers served an arrest warrant and conducted a civil standby.

Nov. 19 – Officers met with the county attorney regarding cases. A walk-through was conducted at Marion Elementary and civil standby was conducted.

Nov. 20 – Officers met with a concerned citizen.

Nov. 21 – Officers worked a non-injury accident and responded to an injured goose. A dog-at-large was picked up and a parking complaint was checked. Officers also met with a concerned citizen.

Nov. 22 – Response was given to a fight and officers assisted the Emergency Medical Service with a call.

Nov. 23 – Officers responded to OASIS for a runaway and taught DRAGNET at the elementary school. An arrest warrant was served and response was given to a sick raccoon. An open business door was found. Officers met with an individual regarding a domestic dispute and met with a concerned citizen.

Nov. 24 – Officers responded to an incident at Marion High School and conducted a civil standby. Lost property was found and picked up and officers attended court hearings.

Nov. 25 – Officers met with a concerned citizen in regards to littering and took reports to the county attorney. Directions were given to a lost motorist and checked on a dog complaint. A criminal damage report was taken.

Friday – Response was given to a non-injury accident and a skunk complaint. An abandoned vehicle was checked. Stolen property was recovered and officers ran radar on North Cedar Street.

Saturday – Response was given to a 911 hang-up and to a dog-at-large. Officers conducted firearms training, bar checks, and assisted a Marion County Sherriff’s Deputy with a theft.

Officers issued 11 warnings, served two notices to appear, and made six arrests.
