Police Report

June 24: Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle report and suspicious person report in the 200 block of North Coble. A possible criminal trespassing was reported. Officers responded to a report of reckless driving.

June 25: Officers served an arrested warrant. Two dogs were impounded at Animal Health Clinic. A vehicle registration violation was found.

June 26: A theft report was taken. A criminal damage to property report was taken. A reckless driver complaint was taken.

June 27: Officers found stolen property. Officers checked a harassment report. Officers checked a report of unsecured vehicles at a business.

June 28: Officers responded to a domestic disturbance.

June 29: A report was taken of a child’s lost glasses in the park. A report was taken for reckless driving. A theft report was taken. A report of juveniles shooting an air soft gun in the city was taken. Officers had one fireworks related call.

June 30: Officers checked a suspicious vehicle in the alley behind the 100 block of North Roosevelt. Officers impounded a dog at Animal Health Clinic. Officers had three fireworks related calls.

July 1: Officers took a domestic battery report. Officers took an assault report. Officers took a disorderly conduct report. Officers took an obstruction of legal process report. Officers caught a juvenile making a sparkler bomb. Officers followed up on a prostitution report. Officers took a report of promoting obscenities to a minor. Officers took a stalking report. Officers took a report from a victim for deprivation of property. Officers received a complaint about three girls in a black car driving recklessly, standing up in the sunroof while moving. Officers returned a phone call to a subject who wanted to have her step father arrested in Wichita because of ongoing allegations about him. Officers had five fireworks related calls.

July 2: Officers found an open door at a business and secured it. A report of a dog bite was taken. A report was taken of a stranger talking to children in the park; officers could not find the individual. Officers spoke with a fireworks stand worker referencing possible theft of fireworks. Officers had four fireworks related calls.

July 3: Keys were found in a city shop vehicle. Officers responded to a domestic disturbance where one suspect was arrested. Officers had six fireworks related calls.

July 4: Officers took a report that residents at Marion Assisted Living Center were hearing pounding noises outside the southeast side of the building. Officers responded to an alarm going off at Carlsons’ Grocery. Officers assisted Marion County Sheriff’s officers with a dresser that fell out of a truck on U.S. 56. Officers had five fireworks related calls.

July 5: Officers took a report of a security camera pointed into the neighbors back yard. Officers had four fireworks related calls.

Friday: Officers took a report of a civil issue involving damage to a residence.

Sunday: Officers took a truck parking complaint. Officers assisted Marion County Sheriff’s officers with a suspected suicide.
