The Marion Senior Center celebrated a birthday on Jan 18 when John Popp brought his mom, Luella, in for her 90th birthday. They brought treats and visited.

On Jan. 23, the center celebrated Darrell and Beulah Weigart’s 64th wedding anniversary.

The center received a letter from the North Central Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging concerning our 2012 site assessment by one of its board members. The center received a high score.

Jackie Volbrecht spoke on Jan. 23 about Circles of Hope. It is a way of working together to eliminate poverty in Marion County.

Feb. 1 is National Wear Red Day, focusing on heart disease in women.
