Cook celebrates
one-year anniversary

Marion Senior Center head cook Kathy West celebrated her first anniversary with the center. Chocolate chip cookies were served as a treat.
Fred Puttroff provided transportation for Merrill and Jean Branson to eat at the center on June 7. They were celebrating their 61st wedding anniversary. Merrill joked that he never wanted a divorce but did slam the door loudly a few times in 61 years.
Gayla Ratzlaff, coordinator of the Marion County Department on Aging, presented the results of a survey on senior centers June 12.
Wanda Williams will play piano June 26 in her self-described fast and loud style.

Friday — Sloppy joes, sliced tomatoes, fruit, buns, oatmeal cookie.
Monday — Beef stew, lettuce salad, fruit, whole-wheat rolls.
Tuesday — Chicken enchiladas, rice, green beans, fruit.
June 26 — Smothered pork chops, garlic mashed potatoes, lima beans, cornbread, fruit.
June 27 — Tamale pie, fruit, garlic toast.
