Senior center accepting donations

Marion Senior Center correspondent

Marion Senior Center is taking donations for Butler Community College’s school supply drive. The Center also is accepting donations of paper towel rolls for Marion Elementary School.

Mary Costello brought candy bars for treats for “no special reason.”

Gayla Ratzlaff, Sue Clough, and Janet Bryant attended a meeting of meeting of the country nutrition site managers July 17 in Peabody.

Free produce from the Kansas Food Bank was distributed in the center parking lot July 18.

Ron and Connie Shipman gave a musical program July 24. Residents of Hilltop Manor attended.

Pastor Sue Talbot of Valley United Methodist Church will sing after lunch Aug. 7.

Milk available with meals. Call (620) 382-2942 by 9 a.m. for reservations.

Friday — Fish, potato tots, broccoli/cauliflower, fruit, garlic toast.

Monday — Oven-fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, mixed vegetables, fruit, whole wheat roll.

Tuesday — Spaghetti with meat sauce, lettuce salad, fruit, garlic toast.

Aug. 7 — Swiss steak, rice, green beans, fruit, cornbread.

Aug. 8 — Roast turkey, stuffing, peas, fruit, whole wheat roll.
