Marlin Miser

Marlin G. Miser, 48, of Burdick died Saturday, the result of an automobile crash east of Herington. He was born July 17, 1965, at Council Grove to Wayne L. and Mary Lou (Mickey) Miser.

He was director of transportation at EVCO of Emporia. He was a member of the Saffordville Methodist Church and loved farming.

He married Stacie L. VanSickle on June 26, 2003; she survives of the home. He is also survived by two daughters, Lacey Michelle Day of Moundridge and Emily Elaine Miser of the home; a son, Wyatt Eldon Miser of the home; three brothers, Vernon Miser of Emporia, Eldon Miser of Wilsey, and Gary Miser of Madison; and three sisters, Louise Lemon of Kansas City, Kan., Louene Bacon of Concordia, and Lou Ann Schrader of Olathe.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Lois Harding; and a nephew, Konley Harding.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Saffordville Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Four Mile Cemetery. Visitation is to be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home & Crematory, Herington Chapel.

The Marlin G. Miser Memorial has been established in care of the funeral home.
