Meal to help cancer victim

A hamburger and hot dog meal Saturday will raise money to help a Hillsboro man battling cancer.

Donovan Funk, owner of Horseshoe Metal Works, was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. Treatment has limited his ability to run his business and created extraordinary medical expenses.

Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church will sponsor a meal 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Menu including grilled hamburger, potato salad, beans, and bottled water. Hot dogs and chips will be available for kids.

Donations will be accepted. People unable to attend who want to contribute may send checks payable to Hillsboro MB Church/Donovan Funk to the church at 300 Prairie Pointe Court, Hillsboro KS 67063.
