Medical supplies delivered to county

Medical supplies from the Strategic National Stockpile were distributed across the state, including Marion County, last weekend.

According to Jane Welch, spokesman for the Kansas adjutant general’s office, supplies were sent out through the Kansas National Guard, and each county emergency manager coordinated delivery to local medical providers.

Marion County emergency manager Randy Frank said the county’s full share was delivered Sunday, but declined to say where supplies were delivered, other than “to the medical providers within Marion County.”

Marion Assisted Living said their facility did not receive a share of the supplies.

Parkside Homes also said they did not receive a shipment.

“As of today, we have not received anything that I’m aware of this week,” St. Luke Hospital CEO Jeremy Ensey said Tuesday.
