Melvin Litwiller

Services for Melvin Litwiller, 88, rural Hillsboro, who died Sept. 12 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, were Sunday at Alexanderfeld Mennonite Church, rural Hillsboro. Burial was in the church cemetery.

He was born Aug. 27, 1935, in Ithaca, Michigan, to Earl and Sabina Elizabeth (Stier) Litwiller and married Joan Nickel on May 2, 1965, in Hillsboro.

She survives along with sons, Tim Litwiller of Evans, Colorado, and David Litwiller of rural Hillsboro; daughters Teresa Ensz of rural Hillsboro and Judy Wiebe of Gruver, Texas; brothers Ardis Litwiller, J.B. Litwiller, and Galen Litwiller of Ithaca, Michigan; sister Erla Schneider of Ithaca, Michigan; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

An infant daughter, Marcia Litwiller, and four sisters preceded him in death.

A memorial has been established with Haiti Relief Fund.

Jost Funeral Home, Hillsboro, was in charge of arrangements.
