Work is progressing on the new Masonic Temple and also on the new Record building. It will be pushed as soon as the danger from severe freezing is past.

Dan Williams had a narrow escape from serious injury a few days ago. He was coming into town from the northwest with two loads of cobs when his team became frightened at the Santa Fe passenger train. Mr. Williams was thrown out and under the wheels, but managed to stop the horses and extricate himself from his tangled lines and dangerous position. He was fortunate to get out with a few bruises and a wrenched arm.

Mayor Good has called a special election to vote on the manual training and domestic science building bond proposition. The election will be held March 29.

A little girl lost her “Pussy in Boots” on Main Street Tuesday. If you find it and leave it at this office, we will see that she gets it. She will be the happiest tot in town if she can just get it back. Her heart is nearly broken. It is a little white fur kitten—one that Santa Claus brought her.
