A meeting was held at the Court Room recently for the purpose of starting a movement for the organization of a County Old Settlers’ Association. The present plan is to hold the Reunion on the 15th of June, which is the 52nd anniversary of the date when the first settlers camped on the site where Marion now stands. They camped where Central Park now is.

It is doubtful if the roads of the county were ever in a worse condition from snow than they have been the last ten days. A man on horseback took four hours to come from Hillsboro on Monday.

The members of the Priscilla Club enjoyed a bob-sled ride yesterday evening.

T.D. Fruechting, the new janitor at the Court House, has taken charge and with his family moved into the rooms provided for the purpose in the Court House.

Every loyal High School student who can, should go to Florence Friday night and root for the debating team. Get behind the team and help win, for the reputation of M.H.S. must not, must not suffer loss.

Hillsboro is planning to vote bonds to build a new school house. The old one is not large enough—owing to the growth of the town. A mass meeting was held last Friday evening and Supt. Ray went up to attend and urge the improvement.
