The front page of this issue reveals an architect’s drawing of the Catholic church now under construction in Pilsen. There also is article dealing with the church and with the history and development of the Bohemian settlement in this county. This church will be one of the finest, if not the finest church, in the county. The cornerstone will be laid May 11 at 1 p.m.

Uncle Sam will open business in the Masonic building in a few weeks. The post office will be moved to the Masonic building on the corner of Main and Fourth streets and will be open for business in the new quarters by the first of July.

The strawberry social at Aulne, which was to have been held last Saturday evening, was postponed till Friday evening, May 8th, when it will be held in the new garage building.

A. Heskett returned last week from his visit at Parsons and is now able to be out with his popcorn and peanut roaster.

Josiah Good is adding a large and modern porch to his residence.

TO ICE PATRONS

We have decided to make no deliveries of ice on Sundays this season. However, the ice wagon will be on Main Street on Sunday mornings until 9:30 for the convenience of any who may desire to get ice at the time.
