BOX SOCIAL. There will be a supper and box social at the Bixler school house, Dist. 39, Wednesday, December 10th. Ladies bring boxes, men bring the money. Bernal Bateman, Teacher.

About twenty members of the Jayhawker Club were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A.L. Richardson Friday night. It was a very interesting evening’s discussion.

W.A. Stauffer answered questions and gave impressions of army life and war situations in France. Homer Hoch talked on characters and procedures in Congress. Many other subjects were presented for discussion by others present.

The room vacated by the Thorp brokerage office is being fitted up for an eating place by the gentlemen who have been conducting the “Cubby Hole” on North Second street.

Otto Schmersey, who is manager of the Todd store at Florence, was in Marion Sunday afternoon. He has purchased the show cases from the Godle store at Lost Springs and will take them to the Florence store.
