The beautiful Christian Church, dedicated less than a year ago, and built by an enthusiastic congregation at a cost of more than $50,000 was consumed in a fire which started about seven o’clock on Sunday morning.
Rev. Roberts, who lived in the apartments at the rear of the church, had been in the basement about an hour before and had fixed the fire and at that time had noticed no trouble.
Showing a fine spirit of hope and perseverance, the congregation started the same day on plans for rebuilding.
