Three vacancies on the board of directors of the Country Club were filled by the election Tuesday night. The meeting which was to have been held at the club house was held in R.B. Harris’s office. Byron Stout, C.F. Pantle, and John Gardner were elected to the three places. There is talk of putting in a swimming pool if it is found by survey that that can be done satisfactorily.

Little Joe Claney had a narrow escape from at least serious injury Wednesday. He was playing around the yard and pulled the covering off the pit where the water meter is. He fell in head first and the hole was almost full of water. Mrs. Earl Norris saw him fall and pulled him out. His head was quite badly bruised by striking a rock at the bottom of the hole. Had no one seen him, he would undoubtedly have drowned.

On Halloween night someone left a porch settee at the Homer Hoch place and it has been there ever since, on the porch. If the owner wants it, he should call and get it.
