Members of Pollock Post of the Grand Army the Republic have presented a bass drum and a snare drum belonging to the post to the Home Guard company here. This was surely a fine thing for them to do. Guards greatly appreciate it. On behalf of the Guards, chief marshal George L. McKay has written the post expressing sincere appreciation for the gift.

Superintendent Ray says that the first school of the county to make a report as to the purchase of the war savings certificates was Tampa. Tampa reports that $40 or more of the $5 certificates were purchased by pupils of the school.

Union Chorus, trained by J.H. Siebert, will give a Christmas cantata” at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Auditorium. This will take the place of evening church services, and will be for all churches.

Help make Christmas glad for some tiny tot by attending the special butterfly feature next Thursday night at the Auditorium. Harry Rogers will give the proceeds to the Priscilla Club for its local Christmas work.

The domestic art department of the city schools will exhibit its work from 2 until 4:30 next Tuesday afternoon. Every woman interested is urged to attend the exhibit.
