Chris Bina, son of Dean and Pat Bina of rural Lincolnville, has accepted the position of chief pharmacist for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He will begin his new duties in October in Washington, D.C.

Great Plains Computers & Networking is moving from one former American Legion building to another. Currently headquartered in the former Gilbert Poppe American Legion Post building in Lincolnville, the business is relocating to downtown Marion in the former American Legion building.

Les Broadstreet, Wichita, a native of Marion, was honored by having his “Kansas Gold” print selected as one of two to represent Kansas and hang in the new National Advocacy Center, Columbia, S.C.

All who participate in Old Settlers’ Day this year are invited to enjoy various activities at Marion Country Club. This will be the ninth open house at the club on OSD.

Descendants of Charles and Ida Bredemeier spent July 28-31 in Colorado Springs, Colo., for their fourth triennial reunion.

Youngtown FCE will donate all funds raised from a drawing for a quilt to the depot project. The star-design, hand-sewn quilt was quilted by Margaret Ireland. Lorene Smith cut the prairie points.
