Winners of the Marion Chamber of Commerce costume contest held Tuesday were Hank Collett, Camille Christensen, Caleb Hett, Courtney Beougher, and Austin Pederson. Dozens of children in costume took advantage of pleasant weather to “trick or treat” at participating businesses.

Roger and Lavonne Hannaford returned recently from a trip to Greece, the Ukraine, and Turkey.

The Mid-Kansas Symphony Orchestra will feature a concert piece by Marion resident Dwight Beckham Sunday during the Fall Classic Concert. Beckham and his wife, Helen, bought a home at Marion County Lake about six years ago, eventually selling the house and building a new one on the lot.

Marion City Library has added a new microfilm reader and printer. The unit is available for public use during regular library house.

Flint Hills Firearms, owned and operated by Carl and Juanita Stovall of rural Marion, is one of the leading gun shops in the state. Located at 2480 190th, it has established a reputation for service that brings customers from throughout the state and country.
