Come see the beautiful decorated Christmas trees, table settings, and other seasonal favorites at Marion’s first “Christmas Magic” from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the former hardware store at 301 East Main. Admission is $2 with proceeds going to the tourism committee.

Matt Rhodes and Heidi Zogelman have been selected by the Marion High School faculty as students of the month. Matt, a junior, is the son of Bruce and Brenda Rhodes of Marion. Heidi, also a junior, is the daughter of Nick and Sharon Zogelman of Florence.

The 13 children of Frances Stuchlik completely surprised their mother Saturday with a birthday party in celebration of her 80th birthday. The party was held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church in Wichita.

Marion High School has a dance team that will perform during the winter sports season. Members are Dana Clopton, Megan Whitaker, Renae Lundgren, Tomi McLinden, Hannah Eis, Chelsea Arnhold, Kiera Funk, Kendra Holub, Megan Helmstead, Mindy Maag, Krystal Williams, and Jessica Davis.

About 285 people attended the Marion Thanksgiving dinner Thursday at the Marion Middle School commons area. About 15 turkeys were prepared for the meal, which was organized, prepared, and served by community volunteers.
