Jim Strawn of Hutchinson has sold Elgin House Apartments at 115 N. Third Street, Marion. The facility was purchased by Jim and Nancy Cloutier of Hillsboro, who plan to renovate the building and reopen different businesses in the facility.
Marion Junior Warrior wrestler Colton Jeffrey took fourth place this past weekend at the state wrestling tournament in Topeka. He will move on to the nationals April 8-9 in Iowa.
Local businessman Merle Flaming has expanded operations at his Marion business to include ice manufacturing and distribution. Frostbite Ice Company began operations earlier this month and already boasts a large clientele.
The artwork of Joel Versch, Marion High School graduate, will be on display April 14 in the Mark A. Chapman Art Gallery at Kansas State University. Versch is a fine arts major at K-State and is the son of Jim and Judy Versch of Marion.
Thieves stole a concrete rhinoceros March 21 from Deer Trail Implement at 902 N. Cedar Street, Marion.
Voters in Marion will choose four Marion City Council members Tuesday. Candidates are Stacey Collett, Jim Davis, Max Hayen, Bill Holdeman, Jerry Kline, Darvin Markley, and Gene Winkler.
