According to grain elevator managers in Marion County, farmers are happy with the fall harvest. After almost a week of warm, dry weather, they have made good progress and report excellent crop yields.

Former Marion residents, John and Vera (Remmers) Wooldridge of Colorado Springs, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 21. John was a 1952 graduate of Marion High School. Vera graduated in 1954.

A group of 166 motorcycles, 6 cars, a trailer with 28 bicycles, and a fire truck left SherBowl Lanes in Marion Saturday on the 16th annual Marion County Toy Run. Ty Zeiner of Marion also participated by flying his biplane over Marion during the parade.
