Central Park in Marion will host its 33rd annual Art in the Park on Saturday. Vendors from several states will have items for sale.

Marion Elementary School second grade teacher Ginger Becker is pictured as she put the finishing touches on a painting at her home in Durham. Becker’s art will be available to buy at Art in the Park on Saturday.

The Wichita Eagle has decided to eliminate non-Sunday delivery to Marion County. Daily subscribers received a notice of cancelation with their Saturday newspapers. About 500 daily subscribers will be affected.

Brian L. Bina, formerly of Marion, is now associated with the law firm of Karstetter & Klenda LLC of McPherson and Marion. Bina will work in the firm’s offices in both cities.

Bob Priest of Marion was part of a 16-member volunteer mission team that went to Zimbabwe Feb. 24 to March 18 to work on a skills training center along with other projects in the area. He is pictured as he swings a pick to help break ground for a new parsonage.

The design was originally commissioned by a school in Minnesota that decided to go in a different direction after it was completed.

MHS teacher Jim Versch organized the purchase of the design by MHS boosters and brought the hand-fired and carved bricks from a clay works in Fairbury, Nebraska.
