Herington Municipal Hospital has opened a clinic on Main St. in Tampa. Open from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesdays, its staff included physician assistant Nina Bittle and licensed practical nurses Janna Norquist and Pam Holub.

A lawn art contest, a lawnmower race, and other events will highlight this year’s Redneck in Ramona celebration and fireworks July 4.

After head cook Barb Bitner had a family emergency, others stepped in to help prepare that day’s meal. Connie Fisher made brownies, Ron Wright browned hamburger for taco salad, and Sue Clough got it all together.

Marion and Hillsboro High School football players from 1988 through 2005 donned pads and jerseys once again for an alumni game at Joel Wiens Stadium in Hillsboro. Marion’s Adam Janzen scored a touchdown with 17 seconds left in the fourth quarter to tie the game, but Hillsboro went on to win, 18-12, in overtime.
