A proposed electrical plant for Marion may be forced to a public vote, if enough people sign a petition requesting it. “This community needs to decide if it wants to go forward,” Commissioner Larry Reiswig said.

This week marks the 15th time German students have visited Marion during the Easter season. The event is one anticipated by both the Germans and their American hosts. Ed Koch directs the group. Marion High School basketball players Scott Hannaford and Carrie Darrow were named to the Salina Journal all-area team Sunday. Both were named honorable mention in Class 2A-3A.

The home of Al and Nancy Rilloraza, 219 Elm, Marion, was suddenly engulfed in flames shortly after 12:30 pm. Tuesday. Damage was extensive to the upstairs and there is smoke and water damage downstairs.
