“We have a new age upon us, and an opportunity.” Those words from Marion Mayor Max Hayen resonated Thursday during dedication ceremonies at Southwestern Bell FiberPark, an addition to Marion Industrial Park that offers fiber-optic technology to customers.
Marion High School cheerleaders are Tiffany Tajchman, Maggie Powers, Jessica Ottensmeier, Jenny Lundgren, Merissa Riggs, and Irene Robles.

“Beary Special Babies” born at St. Luke Hospital during the month of August were Tessa Sue Isaac, August 19; Valerie Marie Chizek, August 23; and Dylan Michael Deines, August 25.
After 16 years with Marion Auto Supply, Steve Smith began working July 16 as a custodian at Marion Unified School District’s middle school, which is located in Florence.
