A new Mutual telephone line has just been completed in the western part of Chase county. The new line is known as the Clements and Silver Creek line, starting at Clements and terminating at a point nearly ten miles north of there near Middlecreek. There are eleven subscribers on the line.

At the council meeting this week the alfalfa mill subject was discussed at some length. Progress is reported.

At high noon on Thursday, April 16, 1908, at the beautiful country home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. J. Moulton, occurred the marriage of their daughter Evalyn Mabel to Mr. Frank C. Utting. The bride has for several years been a successful teacher in the public schools of Marion county and the groom is a prosperous merchant at Antelope.

Erl Minton is superintending the construction of a dwelling for Ross Sheets on the hill. That shows enterprise on the part of both young men.

Henry Wight of Antelope took his cattle over to the pasture at Elk Friday morning. While driving the cattle over his horse fell with him throwing Henry to the ground and breaking his right arm. He rode back home but sent his hired man on with the cattle.
