The school board has unanimously elected Professor N.J. Poundstone as superintendent of the city schools to succeed C.E. St. John, who becomes assistant state superintendent July 7. Poundstone will be cordially received as the head of our fine school.

The Colonial Wedding given by the little people of Marion will be repeated Friday evening, June 25, at the Auditorium.

Quite a few from the District 104 neighborhood took in the Bronco Bill Wild West show Friday night at Elk.

A “beef steak fry” and picnic supper at the old Adkins pasture east of town was enjoyed Saturday evening by a crowd of Marionites.

Those present were Dr. and Mrs. C.A. Branch, Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Delaplain, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Beebe and Dwight, Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Gardner and Ethel, Dr. and Mrs. W.L. McBride and Bobby, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Ogden, and Mrs. H.C. Prentice and children.

Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Good purchased a Schulz piano last week, making the purchase through O.M. Weimer.
