A very large crowd attended dedication services at Pilsen on Tuesday. It is a most beautiful building inside and out.
Bishop Hennessey of Wichita assisted by resident pastor Father Sklenar and neighboring clergymen, conducted the service.
The oldest Old Settler in the county is Alphonse Bichet, and he was here for the Old Settlers picnic yesterday. He is getting younger all the time.
The affair this year had special interest because this year is the 50th anniversary of the organization of Marion County.
The first meeting of the commissioners after the organization was in July, 1865, and the first county election was Aug. 7, 1865.
To auto drivers:
Auto drivers who do not observe the state law as to lights, fast driving, and the road rules, etc. need not be surprised if they are invited to appear in court to show why they should not pay a fine.
The horse killed by a careless driver recently in the outskirts of town should be a reminder that had a person been where the horse stood, they would probably have been killed.
Being convinced of my duty in this matter, I expect to look for evidence against all such drivers.
