A great bunch of Marion boosters, including the band, will go to Herington today to attend the National Old Trails Convention.

Fifty or more autos are expected in the party. A lot of big banners have been prepared, and Marion is to be “right on the map.”

Four of last year’s football players have enrolled in high school. The squad is in need of good husky students to fill the places made vacant by the players who graduated last year.

The Methodists have bought the Smith property one block east of the church for a parsonage.

The old building, which Dr. Smith gets as part consideration, will be moved to another location.

Removal of the old house will improve the looks of the church environs.

A bunch of breeders of thoroughbred herefords in the county met Saturday afternoon at the courthouse and organized Marion County Hereford Breeders’ Association. The new association will sponsor an annual sale.

Net proceeds from a picture show at the Auditorium next Tuesday evening will be turned into a fund for purchase of equipment for a public playground.

That evening, in addition to other reels, will be shown the first episode of “Liberty,” a big new serial that Harry Rogers is putting on.
