Adepts with the rifle will have a trial of skill at Billings Park Christmas Day when one hundred turkeys will be offered as prizes to the best marksmen. A fine beef will also be contested for, in quarters.

We learn that Owen Monohan has sold his delivery to Slaughter Mize of Florence who will come up and run it.

Arnold Jeanneret is the name of the handsome young Swiss jeweler who has recently located in Marion Centre.

A social hop will be held at Rogers Hall Christmas night, with supper.

The card of H van Langer, Architect, will be found in our advertising columns. The services of a professional architect are much needed in a growing town like Marion Centre and we hope he will receive sufficient encouragement to remain here permanently. In addition to his designing, Mr. von Langer has taken and executed three important contracts here the past season, viz: the business buildings of Mr. Lockwood and Corbett & Bown.
