Mr. Coble has a new stone hitching post in front of his home premises, a convenience every home should possess.
Thos. O’Brien has moved into the building on Main St. lately vacated by Mr. Baly. We understand that Mrs. O’Brien will engage in the mantus-maker’s business. We recommend her to the favor of those wishing work in that line and wish her success.
Mr. T. Buford, who will occupy one of Dr. Rogers’ new rooms, has moved his family from Peabody here. We welcome them and congratulate the town on what we are confident will prove to be valuable acquisitions to the business and social circles of the place.
Mr. O.C. Chapman was elected as superintendent of the Ribbon Band at its regular meeting last Sunday afternoon.
Miss Octavia Harrison is developing considerable talent in crayoning. We have recently seen some portrait work executed by her that was very good indeed.
The very pretty and correct representation of the schoolhouse which adorned the Good Templar Hall during the festival was another creditable specimen of Miss Octavia’s work.
