Marion residents may be interested in purchasing a keepsake HO scale model of Marion’s Santa Fe station, now available thanks to the efforts of former Marion resident Stephen Priest. Priest took photographs and made drawings of the station and submitted them to a company in California, suppliers of materials for model railroaders. The scale model sells for $129.98.

The weather this spring has been anything but predictable. Snow in April has made way for extreme storms in May.

Births announced include Addison Mae Norris, daughter of Michael and Jamie Norris of Marion, born April 30 at Newton, and Luke Svoboda Wessel, son of Eric and Susie Wessel of Kingman, born March 11 at Wichita.

Eugene and Marge Christensen of Marion will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house May 19 at Eastmoor United Methodist Church.

Wendy Youk, owner of Aunt Bee’s, 1201 E. Main St., Marion, received her first dollar of profit from Marion Chamber of Commerce before playing host Friday to local business owners and employees at Business After Hours.

Marion High School seniors Tedra Eis, daughter of Steve and Danette Eis, and John Goering, son of Charles and Anna Goering, have been named MHS students of the month.
