Fifty-four Marion High School students, members of the 123rd graduating class of Marion High School, launched their caps into the air Sunday to celebrate the end of one era and the start of another. Principal Ken Arnhold introduced valedictorians Tedra Eis, Erin Richmond, and Emily Svoboda and salutatorian Danielle Cope.
A farewell reception for Kim Hall, M.D., is planned for Sunday at Marion Family Physicians Clinic.
Beth Nesser, Ashley Garth, and Royce Ross are pictured as they clean around the historic springs in Central Park. Also pictured are Scott Jones, Cole Lewman, and David Helmer as they remove some of the dirt from a circular flowerbed in the park.
New dirt and mulching will be added to replenish the flowerbed. These activities are part of a community service project in a social studies class taught by Chad Adkins.
