Central Park Improvement Committee has reached its initial goal of raising $45,000 for new playground equipment at Central Park. The next goal is to raise the remaining $30,000 by the end of February.
Marlin J. Miller, a Durham native, retired this week after 40 years of civil service with the U.S. District Court in Wichita.
Marion Elementary School has announced November students of the month. They are Madison Coleman, Jade Corona, Braden Fahey, Kennedy Fahey, Taylor Fahey, Cooper Garman, Joshua Hall, Drew Helmer, Cherokee Hurst, Cheyenne Jeffrey, Shayla Kline, Jordan Laurin, Shona Ratzloff, Emily Schafers, Kaelyn Thierolf, Maggie Vinduska, and Hap Waddell.
Five generations of the Tharp family were present Monday at St. Luke Living Center to help Helen Bailey celebrate her 106th birthday.
