Veterans Day will feature the seventh annual military pilgrimage to Pilsen, home of Korean War hero Chaplain Emil Kapaun. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Prayers for his beatification, military honors, and a wreath-laying ceremony will follow at a memorial on the church grounds.

A feature story tells how Mike Ehrlich is a specialist and expert who has forgotten more about cattleā€™s feet than you will ever want to know. Ehrlich has been trimming hooves since he worked on a summer job with Rex and John Siebert in 1978.

Published in this issue are articles that include the following reunions: the Garlow family Oct. 10; the Kleiber family Oct. 18, and the Groening and Siebert families Aug. 8.

Pictured receiving a hug from his aunt, Judy Houdyshell, is Matt Loveless, Centre High School graduate, who is visiting relatives and friends as he continues to recover from being shot multiple times Dec. 5 outside his home in Tierrasanta, California.
