Flaming’s Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning was recognized Feb. 9 by Enertech as one of the top geothermal heating dealers in Kansas. Enertech is the maker of GeoComfort equipment and recognized Flaming’s as the top GeoComfort dealer in a four-state region.

Marion High School’s girls basketball team finished as state runner-up after losing 56-45 Saturday to Hays Thomas More Prep in the Class 3A championship game in Hutchinson.

The Jones brothers — Keith, Scott, Ryan, and James of Marion — started a lawn mowing business six years ago, mowing a few yards in their neighborhood. They have expanded their business over time and invested in a pair of large, zero-turn mowers. This year, they expect to have 25 regular customers.
