Lori Heerey, owner and broker at Heerey Real Estate of Marion, is pictured as she places a real estate sign in the 200 block of S. Freeborn St. in Marion. Heerey has purchased the former Kannady and Associates Real Estate business from Charles Kannady, who is retiring after 30 years in the business, which he established in 1980.
Outstanding employee of the third quarter at St. Luke Hospital is the late Gene Vinduska, who began working there in 1990 as a plant operations assistant. He was appointed supervisor in 2002 and worked in that capacity until he died earlier this year.

Heavy rain Saturday night and Sunday morning flooded parts of Marion County and forced evacuation of some residents in Peabody. More than five inches was reported throughout the county.
Wayne Wagner received recognition during a bloodmobile visit June 7for having given 22 gallons of blood.
