City of Marion commissioners unanimously have selected John Crofoot to represent the Marion County Planning and Development Commission on the executive board of the South Central Kansas Economic Development District (SCKEDD).
Cynthia Heerey has been selected for membership in Xi Phi, honorary leadership fraternity at Emporia State University. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Heerey of Marion.
Gerry Harris was speaker at the Monday noon meeting of Marion Kiwanis Club. Harris outlined his 18 years as a sports official, starting with an elementary school game at Pilsen and advancing to his present position as Big Eight basketball official, working games carried on national television.
Norma and Nancy Kline were hostesses at a layette shower at the Kline home Nov. 30 in honor of Michelle Glahn and her infant son, Timothy Stephan Glahn.
Mr. and Mrs. William Stoltenberg of Marion will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary Dec. 15 with an open house at their home. Hosts for the occasion will be their children and Jay Christensen.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Winkley and Nathan moved on Wednesday to Lorraine where Jerry began work Dec. 1 as youth pastor of the First Baptist Church.
