The new series of belt buckles offered by Marion Chamber of Commerce features Marion County Courthouse. The buckles were manufactured by Western Associates of Marion. All buckles are numbered. Those who purchased the first buckle, featuring the “Best Place I’ve Seen” seal, will have first opportunity to reserve the same serial number. A third series will be issued next year featuring Hill School. Collectors will want all three buckles.

New coaches for this year’s Marion High School Warriors football team are head coach Brian Kraus and assistant coaches Craig Atkinson and Greg Wyatt. The season opener will be Friday at Centre.

The popular “business after hours” sessions sponsored regularly by Marion Chamber of Commerce will be repeated at 5 p.m. Thursday. Hosts will be Kingfisher’s Inn and Gene’s Tire Service Center. The event will be held at the VFW Post clubroom on West Santa Fe.

Florence Elementary School Wildcat cheerleaders for the 1985-86 season are Robin Monroe, Saralou Mills, Margo Fredrickson, Vicki Hartley, and Gina Kramer.

Velma Hagans of Marion, wife of the late Frank Hagans, will be guest of honor at an open house Sunday at the Marion Presbyterian Church. The public is invited.
