Marion Auto Supply has invited the public to an open house this Saturday, to celebrate the firm’s 25th anniversary in business in Marion. Also on Saturday, Regnier’s wife Marge and daughter-in-law Karen are holding an open house at their new ladies’ fashions store, Reflections, next door east of the auto supply firm.

Juanita Helmer was presented with a 10-year service pin and certificate last week by District Judge William Clement for her years of service to the courts. Helmer first started working for the county court in 1975 and transferred to district court in 1977.

Mike Padgett is the Marion High School artist of the month for February. A junior who lives near Florence, he drew an illustration of a bobcat in an independent advanced art project.

Jo Ellen Vinduska and Kirk Wyatt were crowned homecoming queen and king during half-time ceremonies Friday at Centre High School.

Marion High School senior girls who served as pages in the Legislature Feb. 18 at Topeka were Fawn Keith, Kody Sader, Stacey and Tracey Long, and Wendy Hett. They were sponsored by Rep. Duane Goossen and Sen. Karr.

Paige Brunner will represent Centre Elementary School in the Marion County Spelling Bee. Brunner, a sixth grader, won the elimination spelldown competition Feb. 19 at the school.
