A Marion Lake couple this week opened an “up scale” pizza parlor in Marion. Jack and Coila Edson are the owners of Jaconi’s Pizza Parlor located on east Main Street. The parlor is open for lunch, dinner, and later seven days a week.
Farmers and livestock producers attending the annual steak dinner sponsored by Marion Chamber of Commerce will hear David Stockebrand speak Monday night following the meal.
Over 60 people visited Eleanor Shields’ dollhouse Sunday. Shields has a 14x60 mobile home containing nearly 1,000 dolls, which she invited the public to view.

Students at Marion Elementary School were among the winners of a coloring contest sponsored by Cooperative Grain and Supply. The winners included Rebecca Collett, Kay Lynn Summervill, Jenny Groening, Charlie Maggard, and Rachel Mulvenon.
David Hett and Diane Vantuyl, Marion High School seniors, were named homecoming royalty Friday during half-time ceremonies at the Warrior-Lindsborg football game.
