The City of Marion received welcome news Monday from Gov. John Carlin. He informed Mayor Peggy Blackman that the town’s application for a Kansas Small Cities Community Development Block Grant had been approved. The $486,000 grant will be used to pay for sewer projects.
Trans-State Trailways ran its last bus route through Marion Saturday, ending local service for passenger and package delivery.
