Former mayor Peggy Blackman has been hired as community planner by Marion City Commission.
Mennonite Disaster Relief volunteers were busy this week clearing away the huge amount of trash and rubble at Marion Motor Center where fire destroyed the agency offices, showroom, and shop during early morning hours Feb. 3

Laura Lee Baldwin has been selected as “Teacher of the Year” at Oakridge Elementary School in Sepulpa, Oklahoma. She is the daughter of John and Jeanette Rupp of Wichita and granddaughter of Faye Russell of Marion.
