About 80 Marion Elementary School students are participating in a summer program to help students who might forget what they have learned by providing continuity over the summer. Missy Stubenhofer directs the program.

Ray Crist, retired railroad worker, now lives in Marion, where he is taking time to enjoy his family and hobbies. He is Amy Smith’s choice this week as a person who made a difference in communities where has he lived.
Marion High School athlete Tony Gilbert has signed a letter of intent to compete for Allen County Community College. He will run cross-country, play baseball, and compete in the high jump, in which he took third at the state track meet in May.
