Work on streets is ahead of schedule despite heavy and unexpected rain. On Friday, subcontractors were removing curbs and portions of driveways on S. Freeborn St. as they prepared to pour new curb and gutter before the street is blacktopped.
Marion County Improvement District No. 2 board members Sherman Kelsey, Frances Smalley, and Ken Vinduska, and joined County Commissioner Linda Peterson at a ribbon cutting Thursday for the district’s newly installed pump station in Marion.

Graduating members of Leadership Marion County 1995 were honored Monday with a dinner and reception at Olde Towne Restaurant in Hillsboro.
