Marion Kiwanis Club installed officers Oct. 16. President for 1995-’96 is Susan Robson, the first female president in the club’s 83-year history.
Nearly 100 women attended the second annual workshop for Marion County women Saturday. The event, sponsored by Marion County Cooperative Service, Prairie View, and St. Luke Hospital and Living Center was directed by Linda Ogden.
Mary Deane Peterson began working at the Burdick Post Office in 1960 as a part-time postal clerk. She will retire Nov. 3 as postmaster after 35 years of service.
Andrew Boekeman of Wongan Hills, Western Australia, son of the founder and owner of Boekeman Machines Case-IH dealerships in Australia, is visiting several IHC dealers in the Midwest, including Straub’s in Marion, to learn about successful dealers.
