Dale Snelling reports around 2,000 Canada geese and about the same number of mallard ducks are on the county lake now. They fly out in the morning to nearby fields for breakfast and fly back later. Fishing at the heated dock is a bit slow, but fishermen are there most of the time.

Members of Tampa Lions Club and their spouses had supper Jan. 19 at Butch’s Diner as a post-Christmas celebration. After dinner, a musical program was presented by Bob Delk and Steve Hanneman. Those present included Paul and Edna Backhus, Nathan Bailey, Ted and Adeline Bernhardt, Greg and Michele Brenes, Jim and Mary Clemmer, Chris Costello, Gene and Betty Costello, Tom and Dee Duggan, Warren and Paula Fike, Shirley and Duane Hamm, Reuben and Lucille Kerbs, Lynn and Peggy Kleiber, Ken Klein, Fred and Ruby Moffitt, and Janice Rorabaugh.

Tammy and J.L. Stone, Lory and Lisa of Overland Park were weekend guests of Rosse and Janice Case. They celebrated Tammy’s birthday Saturday evening at a dinner at Stone Haven in Florence.
