A 60-year-old resident of Hillsboro was rescued Friday from the waters at Marion Reservoir. While driving across the dam, Fred Epperson of Eastshore noticed an object in the middle of the lake. He summoned Park Ranger Terry Holt, who saw it was a wind surfer and that the surfing board was being blown away from the victim. Holt and Corps employees Francis Jirak and Mike Knak launched a Corps patrol boat and rescued the victim.
